About The Weekend Rumble Tournaments

Powered by the Michigan Youth Football Classic II

The Weekend Rumble Series is a high-energy, single-day youth football experience designed for teams that want competitive games, elite operations, and a championship atmosphere, all without committing to a full weekend tournament. Created under the relaunch of the Michigan Youth Football Classic II, the Weekend Rumble Series gives programs across Michigan and the Midwest a fast, organized, and development-focused event that fits directly into today’s youth football calendar.

Established originally as part of the Michigan Youth Football Classic in 2007, these events were built to strengthen community football, provide quality competition, and give athletes a platform to develop and showcase their skills. That mission continues today with structured scheduling, enhanced safety standards, livestream coverage, and the return of a new statewide football movement.

To ensure a fair, competitive, and safe experience for all participants, the Michigan Youth Football Classic II follows a clear set of tournament rules and guidelines. These rules are designed to create an even playing field, protect player safety, and guarantee that every game contributes to the true competitive spirit of the event.

All divisions (8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U) will follow modified tournament rules tailored for age-appropriate play and development. Coaches, players, and parents are encouraged to review the rules in advance to avoid any misunderstandings during the event. Remember, our format ensures that each division crowns one champion and one runner-up, with the championship game being decided on the field, not by tie-breakers.

Please visit the detailed Rules Tab for information on game length, roster requirements, scoring, tie-breakers, equipment standards, and conduct expectations.
